സ്‌നേഹിക്കുക, സംഹരിക്കരുത്‌ എന്ന ബ്ലോഗിലൂടെ പ്രതികരിച്ച എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ഒരുപോലെ എന്റെ നന്ദി. ഓരോരുത്തര്‍ക്കും വ്യക്തിപരമായി മറുപടി എഴുതണമെന്ന്‌ എനിക്കാഗ്രഹമുണ്ട്‌. സമയം ഒരു വലിയ തടസ്സമാകുന്നു. ഇതെഴുതുന്നതും ഷൂട്ടിംഗിനിടയിലാണ്‌. `എയ്‌ഞ്ചല്‍ ജോണ്‍' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ എറണാകുളം ലൊക്കേഷനിലാണ്‌ ഞാനിപ്പോള്‍. പ്രതികരണം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയവരില്‍ തെറ്റു ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ചവരും വിമര്‍ശനങ്ങള്‍ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയവരും ഉണ്ട്. ഈ വിമര്‍ശനങ്ങളെയും തെറ്റുകളെയുമെല്ലാം ഞാന്‍ ഉള്‍ക്കൊള്ളുന്നു മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നു. തിരുത്താന്‍ അങ്ങേയറ്റം ശ്രമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
ജീവിതത്തിലെ സുപ്രധാന നിമിഷങ്ങളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോവുകയാണ്‌ ഞാന്‍. ആ സന്തോഷം, അഭിമാനം നമുക്ക് പങ്കുവയ്‌ക്കാം. എന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പരമോന്നതമായ പല പുരസ്‌കാരങ്ങളും എനിക്ക് ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും അതിനൊന്നുമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു പ്രത്യേകത ഈ പദവിക്കുണ്ട്‌. രാജ്യത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന, സേവിക്കാനാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഒരാള്‍ക്ക്‌ കിട്ടാവുന്ന ഏറ്റവും ഉയര്‍ന്ന ഉത്തരവാദിത്വങ്ങളില്‍ ഒന്നാണിതെന്ന്‌ ഞാന്‍ മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നു. ഈ വലിയ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വം മനസ്സുകൊണ്ടും ശരീരം കൊണ്ടും ഞാനേറ്റെടുക്കുകയും എന്നാല്‍ കഴിയും വിധം ആ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വത്തിനോട്‌ നീതി പുലര്‍ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.
സിനിമയില്‍ പട്ടാളവേഷങ്ങള്‍ പലതും ചെയ്‌തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ആ ജീവിതത്തോട്‌ / മേഖലയോട്‌ ഏറ്റവും താദാത്മ്യം പ്രാപിച്ച രണ്ടു ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ്‌ മേജര്‍ രവി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്‌ത കീര്‍ത്തിചക്രയും, കുരുക്ഷേത്രയും. ആ ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ക്കു പിന്നില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചവര്‍ക്കും, ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ കാണുകയും വിജയിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്‌തവര്‍ക്കും നന്ദി പറയട്ടെ. ഈ ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ ഷൂട്ടിംഗിനായി കാശ്മീരിലും കാര്‍ഗിലിലും ചിലവഴിച്ച ദിവസങ്ങളാണ്‌ പട്ടാളജീവിതത്തെ അടുത്തറിയാന്‍ എന്നെ സഹായിച്ചത്‌. അതികഠിനമായ പ്രതികൂല കാലാവസ്ഥയിലും താന്‍ സ്‌നേഹിക്കുന്നവരില്‍ നിന്നും തന്നെ സ്‌നേഹിക്കുന്നവരില്‍ നിന്നുമൊക്കെ അകന്ന്‌ അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ആ സ്‌നേഹം മുഴുവന്‍ രാജ്യത്തിനായര്‍പ്പിച്ച്‌ അതിര്‍ത്തികളില്‍ കാവല്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്ന പട്ടാളക്കാര്‍. ഞാനിവിടെ നില്‍പ്പുണ്ട്‌, നിങ്ങള്‍ സുഖമായുറങ്ങിക്കോളൂ എന്ന ഭാവത്തോടെ, ഓരോ നിമിഷവും ജാഗ്രതയോടെ, നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി രാജ്യത്തിനുവേണ്ടി കാവല്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്ന സൈനികര്‍ എന്നെ അത്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തി. തീവ്രവാദപ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളും അതിര്‍ത്തി തര്‍ക്കങ്ങളും അധിനിവേശങ്ങളും നാമോരോരുത്തരേയും ആശങ്കാകുലരാക്കുന്ന ഈ നാളുകളില്‍ തന്റെ ജീവന്‍ പോലും തൃണവല്‍ഗണിച്ച്‌ മഞ്ഞുവീണ്‌ മരവിച്ച താഴ്‌വാരങ്ങളിലും മലമുകളിലും നമുക്കായി കാവല്‍നില്‍ക്കുന്ന സൈനികരെ ഞാന്‍ അന്നേ അതിരുകളില്ലാതെ സ്‌നേഹിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.
ഒരു തീവ്രവാദിയാവാതിരിക്കാന്‍ നമുക്ക് മനസ്സുകളില്‍ മതിലുകള്‍ തീര്‍ക്കാം. പക്ഷേ മനുഷ്യത്വം തൊട്ടുതീണ്ടിയിട്ടില്ലാത്ത, മതത്തിന്റെയോ മറ്റെന്തിന്റെയെങ്കിലുമോ പേരില്‍ ഭ്രാന്തമായ രക്തദാഹവുമായി ആക്രമിക്കാന്‍ വരുന്നവരില്‍ നിന്നും രാജ്യത്തെ രക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ക്ക്‌ മനസ്സിലും കൈയ്യിലും ആയുധമെടുക്കുകയേ നിവൃത്തിയുള്ളൂ. അനുദിനം വര്‍ദ്ധിച്ചുവരുന്ന അപകടകരമായ ഈ ആക്രമണങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നെല്ലാം നമ്മളെ, നമ്മുടെ അച്ഛനമ്മമാരെ, സഹോദരീസഹോദരന്മാരെ, മക്കളെ രക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ ഊണും ഉറക്കവുമുപേക്ഷിച്ച്‌ പ്രയത്‌നിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഭാഗമാവാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചതങ്ങിനെയാണ്‌.രാജ്യസേവനത്തിനായി ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഒരവസരവും ഞാന്‍ പാഴാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല. ജീവിതത്തിലൂടെയും, ഞാന്‍ അഭിനയിച്ച ചിത്രങ്ങളിലൂടെയും അത് പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചിട്ടുമുണ്ട്‌. ഇതില്‍ എടുത്തുപറയേണ്ട ഒന്നാണ്‌ തീവ്രവാദമുക്തമായ ലോകം ലക്ഷ്യം വച്ച് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന `ആക്‌ട്‌ ഫോര്‍ ഹ്യുമാനിറ്റി' എന്ന സംഘടനയുമായി ചേര്‍ന്നുള്ള പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍. രണ്ടു വര്‍ഷമായി ആക്‌ട്‌ ഫോര്‍ ഹ്യുമാനിറ്റിയുടെ തീവ്രവാദവിരുദ്ധ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളില്‍ ഞാന്‍ സജീവമാണ്‌. ഈ സംഘടനയുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ എന്നെ ഏല്‍പിച്ച തീവ്രവാദവിരുദ്ധ സന്ദേശം പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുക എന്ന ചുമതല ഞാന്‍ നിര്‍വ്വഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇവിടെയും എന്റെ ചുമതല സമാനമാണ്‌. നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ സുരക്ഷയ്‌ക്കായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന സൈന്യത്തിലേക്ക് നമ്മുടെ സേവനത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യകത യുവാക്കളെ ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്തുക എന്നതാണത്‌.
അതിശക്തമായ നമ്മുടെ സുരക്ഷാസംവിധാനങ്ങളെ ഭേദിച്ച്‌ നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ കടന്ന്‌ നിത്യജീവിതത്തില്‍ പോലും അസ്വസ്ഥതകള്‍ വിതയ്‌ക്കാന്‍ നമുക്കെതിരായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന ശക്തികള്‍ക്കാവുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ അവര്‍ എത്രമാത്രം ശക്തരാണെന്ന്‌ മനസ്സിലാക്കുക. അവയെ ചെറുക്കാന്‍ നമ്മുടെ സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പാക്കാന്‍ പ്രയത്‌നിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂടെ ചേരാന്‍, നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്തെ സേവിക്കാന്‍ നമുക്കുള്ള ചുമതല മനസ്സിലാക്കുക. അതിനായി മുന്‍പോട്ടുള്ള ഓരോ ചുവടുവയ്‌പും നമുക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ചാവാം.

പ്രീയ ലാലേട്ടാ സന്തോഷം.താങ്കളുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തിനും സമൂഹത്തിലെ സാധാരണക്കാര്‍ക്കൊപ്പം അവരിലൊരാളായി നമ്മെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന പ്രശ്നങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നതിനും തീവ്രവാദത്തിനെതിരെ സ്വന്തം അഭിപ്രായം തുറന്നുപറയുന്നതിനും. പക്ഷെ അധികാരക്കസേരയിലിരിക്കുന്നവര്‍ തന്നെയല്ലേ ഒരു പരിധിവരെ ഇവിടെ തീവ്രവാദം വളര്‍ത്തുവാന്‍ ഒത്താശ ചെയ്യുന്നത്. രാജ്യ്ദ്രോത്തിനു കൂട്ട് നില്‍ക്കുന്ന എത്രയേറെ കപട രാജ്യസ്നേഹികളെ നമ്മള്‍ കണ്ടു. അധികാരത്തിലിരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ സ്ഥാപിത താല്പ്പര്യങള്‍ നിറവേറ്റാനാണ് ഇവിടെ മതത്തെ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. വര്‍ഗീയത കുത്തി വച്ച് മനുഷ്യനെ തമ്മിലടിപ്പിക്കുവാന്‍ മുന്നില്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്നത് ഇവരൊക്കെ തന്നെയാണ്. പണത്തിനു വേണ്ടി സ്വന്തം രാജ്യത്തെ വിറ്റ് തുലയ്ക്കുകയും പണയപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്‍ തീവ്രവാദികളും രാജ്യദ്രോഹികളും തന്നെയല്ലേ? ഒരു ഭാഗത്ത് ജീവിതംപോലും ഉഴിഞ്ഞു വച്ച് രാജ്യത്തിന്‌ വേണ്ടി പൊരുതുന്ന ധീര ജവാന്മാര്‍... അവരുടെ പേരില്‍ പോലും കുംഭകോണം നടത്തുന്ന അധികാരിവര്‍ഗം. അകത്തുനിന്നായാലും പുറത്തുനിന്നായാലും തീവ്രവാദത്തെ നാം ഒന്നായി പ്രതിരോധിക്കെണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. താങ്കളുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് താങ്കളോടൊപ്പം ഒരാളായി എല്ലാ ഭാവുകങ്ങളും.

ചില കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ മനസിലാവാതെയുണ്ട്:
1) സൈനത്തിന്റെ ബ്രാന്‍ഡ് അംബാസിഡര്‍ ആവണമെന്നു പറയുന്നു. പക്ഷെ, സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ സേവനങ്ങള്‍ പ്രത്യക്ഷത്തില്‍ ജനങ്ങളിലേക്കെത്തുന്നതല്ലല്ലോ! അപ്പോള്‍ എന്താണ് അങ്ങയിലൂടെ സൈന്യം പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്? റിക്രൂട്ട്മെന്റ് നടക്കുമ്പോഴോ മറ്റോ ഒരു പരസ്യത്തില്‍ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടാമെന്നല്ലാതെ എന്തു ചെയ്യുവാന്‍ കഴിയും?
2) “സൈന്യത്തിലേക്ക് നമ്മുടെ സേവനത്തിന്റെ ആവ്ശ്യകത...” - സൈന്യത്തിനു വേണ്ടി സാധാരണക്കാരായ ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് എന്തു സേവനമാണ് നല്‍കുവാന്‍ കഴിയുക?
3) ‘കീര്‍ത്തിചക്ര’യിലും ‘കുരുക്ഷേത്ര’യിലും പട്ടാളത്തിന്റെ നേര്‍ ചിത്രമാണോ കാണിച്ചു തന്നത്? നല്ല വശങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രം എടുത്തു കാണിച്ചു എന്നു കരുതിയാല്‍ തന്നെ; ആയുധം വലിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞു തീവ്രവാദിയുമായി മല്‍‌പിടുത്തം നടത്തുക, അതു കഴിഞ്ഞ് ആയുധം അടുത്തു തന്നെയിട്ട് തിരിഞ്ഞു നടക്കുക... ഇങ്ങിനെയാണോ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ പട്ടാളം? ഒടുവില്‍ മേജര്‍ മഹാദേവന്റെ ഈ മണ്ടത്തരം കാരണം ഏറ്റവും മിടുക്കനായ ഒരു കമാന്‍ഡോ മരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു! സിനിമാറ്റിക്ക് ആക്കുന്നത് മനസിലാക്കാം, പക്ഷെ യുക്തിസഹമാവണം അങ്ങിനെയുള്ള മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍. അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ പട്ടാളത്തെ പരിഹാസ്യപാത്രമാക്കുകയായിരിക്കും ഇത്തരം ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്യുക.
4) കാശ്മീരിലും മറ്റും പട്ടാളം നെറികേടുകളും കാട്ടുന്നില്ലേ? (വാര്‍ത്തകളിലൂടെ മാത്രം അറിവുള്ളത്...) സിനിമയിലൂടെ അവയൊക്കെ വിമര്‍ശിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതല്ലേ? എങ്കിലല്ലേ അവരും ആ തെറ്റുകള്‍ തിരുത്തുവാന്‍ തയ്യാറാവുകയുള്ളൂ? രാജ്യസ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ പേരില്‍ പട്ടാളത്തിന്റെ ദുര്‍ചെയ്തികള്‍ മറച്ചു വെച്ച്, അവരുടെ മഹാത്മ്യം മാത്രം വാഴ്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ തെറ്റുകള്‍ തിരുത്തി മുന്നോട്ടു പോവുമോ?

I recently took him for a drive in Trivandrum city and he even notices the smallest movie posters and flex-ads with your face in them!!!! and started yelling 'Laluuuu' 'Laluuuuu'. How could it happen to such a young-age kid? More over when he hear the songs such as 'Kalyana kacheri' or 'kai niraye vennatharam'.. in radio or even hear others singing.. he recognises the song and starts dancing and yelling out 'laaluuu'.!!! What i wish to say is some thing which may be a bit off subject here.Still let me humbly put my thoughts here.
Osho,came to my life as a cool breeze when i was in 12th std.Me and few of my friends used to collect His books somehow,the rareness and cost of the books made it really a challenge for us to get them.
At that time I once had a very colorful dream ,with Osho in it.I still can remember lot of colorful long curtains where there in it and in between those , i could see Osho sitting with his beautiful yet rare smile.
The next day i was talking to my friends about this beautiful dream and told them that i would like to make a film on osho and i want Mohanlal to play the role.This was in 1997.My friends ridiculed me at my lack of casting skills.I during those days used to remember your face when i saw Osho's photos and felt always that your nose and His are similar.
Any way with that hurt incident i just kept aside those thoughts to myself.
Long after that (i think in 2005) i saw a magazine (i forgot the mazazine name and the content)and from it I came to know that you too are in love with this Most Beautiful Human Being ever walked on this planet.
Really felt happy(Happy is a dry word, when it comes to that feeling) i felt a juicy feeling, my old hurt was erased.May be i wont be taking any film with you as Osho in it, but as Mohanlal- a socially accepted,loved,cherished ad revered person in India-you have become (or may be in future you will become)like what Swami Vivekanada was for Ramakrishna Paramahansar.
I dont mean that you will go aborad giving speaches on te teachings on Osho(and that will the most disrespectful thing one can do to Osho-a he always negate all the teachings)But as an individual as a lover of that Mighty soul, you can make a difference, and indeed you have started making a difference.The fragrance has started to spread trough you.I feel personally that the falicitation of Major rank and all such appreciation you are getting as small gifts from Devine for imbibing and spreading that fragrance through your presence, through your words.through your thoughts, and through your works.
You are indeed blessed to be able to love Him and I feel happy really happy about that for reasons inexplicable.
